Following Passions

I have been getting great enjoyment lately in following passions that cost little or no money.   I live near the water and love long walks.  I have also recently embraced the practice of downloading interesting podcasts and listening to them while strolling along.  I am not only getting my exercise, but additionally I feel like I am going to ‘grad school on the beach’ during my sojourns.

Another practice that nurtures me is spending frequent time in nature.   I live near a couple of bird sanctuaries in the winter and my partner and I both have a passion for taking digital photographs.  We find photography incredibly restful. It feeds our creative urges and we meet great people along the way.

I’ve also recently come across a helpful website: www.meetup.com. You type in a topic or interest, provide your location, and voilà!… you are instantly hooked into your local community and an enormous number of clubs and organizations that share your interests.   It makes following passions at low to no cost a breeze!  Check it out….
